Curb and fence pressure washing in Canton, GA
Canton, GA

What we found and what we did
Pressure-washed the fence and curbs surrounding a pool enclosure in Canton, GA, cleaning both the interior and exterior faces of the fence.
Pool fencing picks up a specific mix of grime: algae and biofilm from constant moisture and splash-out, sunscreen and body-oil residue that bonds to the surface, and general pollen and dirt that builds up on the outer face. Both sides need attention because the interior face gets the chemistry and the exterior face gets the weather.
We worked both sides of the fence in sequence, pre-treating the heavier algae buildup with a sodium-hypochlorite mix and surfactant at low pressure, letting it dwell long enough to break down the biological growth before rinsing. The exterior face had the typical Canton, GA pollen and organic staining from the surrounding landscaping; the interior face had the moisture-driven biofilm you see on any surface that stays wet for most of the season.
Rinsed thoroughly after treatment to clear any chemistry residue from surfaces bathers contact. Around a pool, that rinse step isn't optional: residual hypochlorite on a fence rail is a skin and eye irritant, and it can also react unpredictably with the pool's own chemical balance if it drains in during the next rain. We make sure the fence is fully rinsed before we pack up.
Pool fence cleaning in this climate is a regular-maintenance item, not a one-time fix. Canton summers are humid enough that untreated fencing can show visible algae re-growth within a single season, especially on the shaded or poolside-facing sections.
